It’s a dark movie but exceptionally beautiful and touching. It starts off like a mystery and ends with the hope that love will find its way. I can’t give away any more than that. Just see it. Trust me. And watch the director Koreeda’s other movies too if you like it. He has an uncommon understanding of children and adolescents and I could almost consider his work educational in an odd way as well.
