I generally read with pleasure your posts. My sincere apology if I wrongly blamed you. It probably said more about myself. I may have struggled with your comment that you should prefer separate boys' and girls' schools. But also there my irritation is not justified. I have attended both boys' schools and schools with boys and girls. Looking back, I have to admit I felt more comfortable at the boys' schools. I think boys have more of a desire for separate schools than girls. I wonder why. In my personal life these feelings are reflected by two siblings, a niece (15 years old) and nephew (13 years old). They often visit me. Both attend a school with both boys and girls in their classes. When I ask my nephew how he experiences the presence of girls, he makes a slightly crooked face and says: they all look the same. My niece experiences it very differently. She has a wide circle of friends of boys and girls. She thinks the boys are fantastic, and at the same time she has a close love relationship with a girl from her class. This generation teaches me a lot and gives some hope for better times.
