Im not sure they did actually manage to do it. The vast majority of people still think its wrong. I think I may have said this to you before, but I just don't think this is accurate. Anecdotally, the majority of people I know are fine with gay marriage and homosexual relationships. They might personally be weirded out by it or whatever, but they don't think it's morally wrong. More generally, I feel like if you took a random survey of people and asked if they thought homosexuality was morally wrong or not, most of them would say no. Obviously it depends on the place, and there are obviously some homophobic people out there, but in general, it seems like most people don't think its wrong. I'd imagine that if there's polling data on this, it would agree with me. |
