what's sex got to do with it?

Yeah, sure, a fanny can be sexy up to a point. I could have sex with one, if the occasion demanded it. I might even have done so. (Chivalry obliges.)

But I've never broken my heart for a woman or a girl. I've never followed a girl or woman with my eyes in a public place. I've never pined for a female - or an adult male, for that matter. One wouldn't exactly die for a woman. Except maybe the late Queen, and nobody would say she was sexy.

Our culture is too preoccupied, in my opinion, with sexual attraction. Pharmakon (I think) has said here that you are a boylover if boys make your dick hard. But the jets in a spa pool can make my dick hard. When I was younger, sitting at the back of the bus made my dick hard (much embarrassment resulted). What makes your dick hard is not necessarily a matter of any importance.

In one of my favourite scenes from the third season of Arrested Development Gob tries to describe love, which he describes as the opposite of an erection: "it's like my heart is getting hard."

I think this a fine description of love. And the whole thing about being a boylover is that the clue is in the name. Dicks don't necessarily enter into it (though of course they can enter into anything). You're a boylover if boys make your heart hard. And in that respect at least, I'm an exclusive boylover. My heart isn't getting an erection for the ladies.
