What do you want, a papal medal?

Your posts get read. But your posts - by and large - feel more like a lengthy homily than an invitation to discussion.

Are they important? Who knows? For those of us who are suspicious about the importance of the human sciences altogether, maybe not. But I don't get the impression that you're keen to debate this.

You have your own impregnable ideas about what is true and valid, and you don't really engage positively with people who have opposing views. It's fine that you want to carry on your own crusade. But are you really surprised that other people don't necessarily desire to engage much with it?

And if it really is as important as you think it is, does it even matter that other people don't want to chat with you about it?
