That's a quote from a fascinating article "How Feminism Ends" by one Ginevra Davis (the "unsolvable problem" is the "female body" "It cannot be explained away. It can only be managed.")

It's the most interesting piece of writing I've stumbled onto (well, a couple of the King of Zembla's posts excepted) on the problem of feminism -- the contradiction at the heart of feminism --since I read Mary Harrington's book. It peaks, albeit indirectly, to what you write about above.

I'm increasingly coming around to the view that unless the contradiction at the heart of feminism can be resolved (Davis hints that only "the end of feminism" -- the title of her article -- can resolve that contradiction), the war on boys and on the men who dote on them cannot be resolved. Because the contradiction requires that the fundamental difference between boys and girls has to be ignored.

If you have time to read the article (it's long and dense in places), I'd really be interested in your reactions.
