Attenborough swims with Carlton and Koudhris

Posted by diogenes on 2024-April-1 05:30:33, Monday

As we all know, David Attenborough is one of only two contemporary Brits so univerally beloved that he deserves a state funeral when he dies - the other being Larry the Cat.

Zoo Quest in Colour is an account of David Attenborough's expeditions to take film of animals for the Beeb (and catch some animals for London Zoo) in the mid-50s. In the section indicated, Attenborough is in British Guiana in South America, and ends up swimming with two local boys, Carlton and Koudhris. I wonder what happened to the boys subsequently. Are they still alive?

The relevant section is from 0:39:35 to 0:44:07.

Narrator @ 43:39: "After their swim, there was another skill the boys wanted to show off." um, yes....
