No, there is no contradiction.

But attempts to get to the root of a problem are worth the effort -- call it a radical approach.

I don't see feminism as the root -- i.e., you can't stop with feminism and think you've solved the problem as if you could wish away feminism and all would then be well.

The root of the problem lies in the way a managerial elite has seized power (at least in the Western world), displacing the older bourgeois elite of which Marx wrote.

I suppose one could dig yet deeper and attempt to explain the factors that led to the rise of the managerial elite (James Burnham made the first such attempt but there have been many others, most recently writers such as Mary Harrington and Patrick Deneen.)

The managerial elite seized on/invented feminism as a critical tool in consolidating control and preempting challenge. Of course the broader economic/technological forces were at work -- pulling women out of the home and into the exchange economy -- but feminism provided the ideological justification/legitimitization of what was happening -- what needed to happen to cement the control by the managerial elite.
