But I'd be wary of connecting with anyone here in other places. I've done so myself only after years of knowing someone, and I've never met anyone in person. I hear you about the struggles of dating while in the closet. I'm beyond blessed to have a partner that's understanding, and it was pretty torturous before I knew he would be. I get how shallow friendships can seem when you have to hide this major part of yourself. I'd suggest slowly getting to know people right here. Leave posts and comments, get to know other people's approaches, attitudes, stories. There's quite the wealth of material. Other private platforms are super valuable of course, and I've used them myself, but again before you've known someone for a significant period of time it's really unwise to jumpstart the dms.
