Because the social poison anti-pedophilia pours into the well of civil society necessarily bleeds into Jewish experience. It's just a fact: it's already happened with the blending of anti-pedophilia with anti-semitism in far right conspiracy theories. For example, anti-Hollywoodism is expressed to a great extend in terms of anti-pedophilism--that Speilberg is a pedophile who killed one of his child stars, for example--but it is really covert anti-semitism. These things are intertwined, and not only theoretically, but in real life, right now.
Or is Israel on the verge of suddenly discriminating against its own majority Jewish population just because it doesn’t allow sex with 12 year olds?
That's an entirely different situation, because Jews aren't a minority in Israel. | |
