Romantic Attraction Study - UPDATED again

Posted by KaileyRoche on 2024-March-6 08:46:58, Wednesday

Hello!

I posted back in December about a study that my colleagues are doing on romantic attraction. They are nearly finished recruitment but are hoping to get a few more participants.

For those interested, see below!

For those who would rather I take a long walk off a short pier, I understand, and apologize in advance.

Hello everyone!

For those who are interested, there are two new studies being conducted on sexual and romantic attraction to children. Participants are eligible if they're over 18 YO and are attracted to children under the age of 14.

Both studies are anonymous and Tor-compatible.

These surveys are follow-ups to these two publications, if you'd like to take a look:

Study Title: Sexual and romantic attraction to children: Important child features and experience of falling in love
Principal Investigator: Michael Seto (Michael.Seto@theroyal.ca)
REB#: 2023005

Our team at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre is looking for adult (18+) men or women who are attracted to prepubescent and/or pubescent children (approximately 14 years of age or younger) to complete a secure, anonymous online study.

The study, titled “Sexual and romantic attraction to children: Important child features and experience of falling in love”, has two parts:

Survey 1 is about sexual and romantic attraction to children (and adults, if relevant) and the physical and psychological features of children (and adults, if relevant) that are deemed most attractive.

Survey 2 is about romantic attraction and experiences of falling in love with children (and adults, if relevant).

Each survey takes about 10-15 minutes of your time and is completely anonymous. After Survey 1, you will be asked whether you would like to participate in Survey 2. This is completely voluntary.

To access Survey 1, about attraction to children (and adults) and their physical and psychological features, please go to the following link:

This survey is being conducted using the survey platform SoSci and is compatible with the Tor browser. Survey data on SoSci is stored in a highly secure location in Munich, Germany. Neither the research team nor SoSci will be collecting any identifying information or IP addresses.

There will be no way to connect your survey response to your identity or location.

This study has been approved under REB#2023005.
