"My I present" Darn it! I thought I had got rid of all the typos. How unfortunate that nearly the first line contains a typo. Well, it's easily corrected. Thanks for pointing it out to me - I might have missed it otherwise. I hope I've always indicated a second speaker's line with a dash '- ' immediately before it, but it wasn't always possible to put it on a separate line where it would run on to a third line. I didn't want to have more than two lines of subtitles displayed at any one moment. The English is unashamedly British English, not American. Just a personal preference. French people talking in Yank sounds strange to me. I suppose "He answers back" or "He talks back" are both acceptable - in context - for "Il répond." Possibly the second sounds a bit yank again to my ears :) sorry! With some of the dialogue I've taken certain liberties, because the meaning is more important than the exact words. There was one point where I felt compelled to leave a French word untranslated. François-Gérard refers to la fête des mères (Mother's Day) as la fête des merde (Shit Day), which is rather wonderful - so I've just translated the latter as Merde Day in order to point out the pun. Surely everyone knows that merde is shit? Actually, going through the file right now, I've noticed that I've spelt François-Gérard wrongly on a few occasions. Tsk! Once I've corrected a few things, I'll probably upload the amended file and supply another link. Thanks for the corrections and suggestions!
