It's necessary to instill the spirit in boys that drove the British Empire.

I applaud such parenting skills. If you woosy Yanks applied the same principles to school-aged children (abandon those pansy paddles for proper ratten canes) then maybe Trump, once elected, could make your fine nation what it once was.
