Michael Rocke: Forbidden Friendships: Homosexuality and Male Culture in Renaissance Florence.

Unrelated, but: hoping to read more about Norman Douglas after discovering small details of his life and reading Robin Maugham's autobiography which contains mention of meeting Douglas for negronis along the Italian coast (lasting image of a lovely Italian boy in orange corduroys tending to the old man).

Would also love to read "Dangerous Love".
