A Leesburg man was arrested for sexually battering a young girl after law enforcement found footage of the act on a laptop in his possession. Lake County sheriff’s deputies responded to sexual battery allegations at an undisclosed Leesburg residence on Thursday afternoon, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Joseph Andrew Giampa, 36, was detained and placed in the back of a patrol car while deputies investigated, the report said. They were given access to a vehicle parked on the north end of the residence, inside of which they found a video on a laptop. Deputies began watching the video and observed a female juvenile victim being recorded by an adult man, later identified as Giampa, holding the camera and talking to her. Over the course of the video, Giampa gave the juvenile victim instructions. At one point, he exposed himself and sat in a chair facing the juvenile victim, the report said. The juvenile victim began performing oral sex on Giampa. During this time, Giampa told her that he knew she probably did not like it although he liked it more when she did not. A short time later, Giampa got behind her and penetrated her vagina, the report said. Giampa was arrested and charged with sexual battery victim less than 12 offender older than 18 (domestic). He was transported to the Lake County Jail to be held without bond. A court date was set for Nov. 27. |
