Seriously, stop blaming feminism. In the fight for child sexual liberation, it's a force for good. Most feminists may support the age of consent, but then they also believe in sexual liberation and oppose paternalism. Two attitudes that would lead to child sexual liberation, if only people accepted them for children, not just adults.

Prejudices against minors existed before, but they were not so strict and absolute until the actions of first-wave feminists led to an increase in the age of consent. To combat the sexual exploitation of minors in prostitution, there was no reason to raise the age of consent for everyone. By their actions they simply perpetuated ageism and prejudice.

Yes, later in the 70s and 80s, some feminists advocated sexual liberation for everyone, including youths. But their few voices were suppressed by those who grew up with those very ageist prejudices, which were reinforced by feminists themselves.

Now we hear mainly from radical feminists such words as sexualization and objectification, which makes the problem of Puritanism even further. Instead of proclaiming specialness and pride in femininity and female attractiveness, they instead attack it and promote desexualization instead of liberation.
