My problem with child prostitution is not the sex. Prostitution is about giving sex to people who want that in exchange for goods that the former needs. South East Asian parents might pimp out their kids, because the kids bodies are the only valuable thing they can possess. I am sure, if they had well paying jobs, their kids would rather be playing with other kids on the playground then spending time with strangers.

Any NGO fighting child prostitution should not target the buyers, but should work towards providing opportunity for employment for the parents. Sex tourist may contribute to the local economy, since they little prostitutes often provide a major income for the family (according to some reports decades ago).
