they got 'bang bang' translated right

The rest has little to do with the French lyrics.

I can't quite pick up the name of the game they were playing. Maybe a native francophone is in the house and can get it.

We were only children
We had no more than 5 or 6 years
We were playing at _______
He was the stronger one

Bang bang, he shot at me
bang bang, he injured me.
bang bang, me, I was crying.
bang bang, and he comforted me.

English translations of songs almost never do justice to the French.
On the other hand, French translations of English lyrics are often an improvement. So I'm curious what the original language is.
