if you want to debate you might try to present your facts honestly you said the pd was as good as private lawyers. but your link mentioned COURT-APPOINTED private attorneys these are private attorneys only appointed by the court in place of the pd and they are paid so low by the court that they try to lose these cases. DID YOU THINK YOU COULD FOOL US? you set up a straw man, SJW, woke MAPs, as if they were representative of MAPs who could not benefit from a legal defense fund. I was not speaking of the SJW movement and most MAPs here, even the real ones, are not members of it. so making irrelevant statements about your opinion, not fact, of them misses the bullseye. but you can admit that you are simply grasping wildly for any reason to trash a proposal your reference to the Zakrzewski case is anecdotal and btw proves my point, that money would make a difference although not enough in this case. Money might work in lesser cases. throwing in fancy terms, like thought experiment, also do not impress me. many interest groups have legal defense funds including the police and many political groups so there is no reason it would not work. if it would not work for us why is it almost universally done for other interest groups? maybe you have an interest in seeing that it does not work. but I am personally gratified that a fake MAP would choose not to donate your smug pretense at knowledge and confidence simply suggests you are not a new poster, but an older regular with a new nick |
