I pefer my boylove stories without excruciating rampant misogyny. I don't think the diary form a lot of the books are in, from memory, gives us a deeper understanding of his relationships. A stylystic failure, more of a middle finger to American moralism which whilst great to see, has little depth. Do I have to hand in my boylove certificate? Danger Will Robinson this novel is incomplete but some of the best writing of the last ten years, there is a first version and a second tidied version. The first is best.
