Setting up a legal defense fund is a good idea. people in an interest group work together and pool their resources to defend each other. this is concept behind insurance and a legal defense fund for people accused of MAP-associated crimes but TPKA CHERUBINO implies that only the MAP who finds himself in trouble is responsible. This implies Cherubino does not think we should help each other. You have no money for a private attorney, so the district attorney licks his lips because you have to take the public defender. Defendants always lose with the PD. The district attorney has an easy kill. DA's are only interested in getting wins on their resumes. With legal defense fund you might have chance if you can retain a private attorney. The DA might not even charge you because he fears having a loss on lhis resume. But CHERUBINO does not want you to have this chance. He won't lift a finger to make things better for MAPs and he mocks those who try. Why is CHERUBINO here? Is CHERUBINO an MAP at all? |
