German singer Howard Carpendale about his 'CSA'

Howard Carpendale is one of the most famous German singers, although he is now about 77 years old and his really big time is behind him. In his 2016 book "Das ist meine Zeit" he tells on page 115 (translated):

"But there is another song that always reminds me of a relationship with a woman."

"Which one is that?"

"'Und es war Sommer' by Peter Maffay. Among other things, he sings the following lyric: "I was sixteen, and she was thirty-one." What is told in this song actually happened to me. An experience I will certainly never forget. An affair with a very experienced woman - and I can't say I regretted it. It was a very brief encounter, though."
