startpage vs duck duck go

as I understand Startpage which is more serious about privacy uses Google as its main search engine and duck duck go didn't originally but due to the Ukraine war started to include it, maybe they have gone away again? Hail the hegemonic US foreign policy.
Only if you have the time and interest check it out!
Anyhoo if possible stay off surveillance sites. Please continue to support alternatives like Invidious and Startpage to youtube and Google like you have allready.
