Well, people can't read your thoughts. Everyone has their dark side they wouldn't like other people to know about. Boylovers are nothing special in that regard. So, relax, but make sure you know where to draw the lines in order to avoid trouble.

Anxiety doesn't make one safer, rather on the contrary. Try and get rid of all those negative feelings and focus on positive things, like, what can you bring to the boys you like? Maybe your appreciation can raise the self-esteem of a boy. Maybe a gentle smile can make him feel less lonely, make him feel the world around him is less hostile. Sometimes very simple things can make a significant difference both to you and boys, without taking any particular risk.
