It's from 2 years ago which is a lifetime in IT. A lot has probably changed.The reality is that despite all this libertarian talk, those companies will still comply and work with the cops.

My advice is to assume that your emails are not secure the same way you should assume that a drug dealer is cutting his product with fentanyl. Protonmail isn't going to get sued for people getting busted for CP from using their platform.
