the problem. (Homogeneity, as you know, means having the same or very similar qualities, while heterogeneity means having very different qualities.) Would you class (so-called) "heterosexuals" together, and try to describe them? Why not? Because there are so many differences among them, that trying to describe them (as a "class" of people) in detail is not really possible. Ditto for "BoyLovers," "pederasts," "pedophiles," etc. There is no "typical" BoyLover/pederast/pedophile, just as there is no "typical" heterosexual. Sure, there are enough similarities that you can try to break them down into smaller groups, but it never works very well. There are similarities among sexual desires/sexual activities of (so-called) "true pedophiles" (according to the DSM-5 definition) and it seems to be true that these (so-called) "pedophiles" are less interested/not interested at all in being "top" in anal sex with a prepubescent boy (unlike, it seems, the "pederasts" are, with their adolescent "boys") and "pedophiles" tend to instead prefer giving blow jobs and to cuddle (according to the few studies that have been done on [so-called] "true pedophiles" who have not been incarcerated nor been in "treatment" for their [so-called] "condition"). Do you see what I mean? M. ... who is sick and tired of people lumping diverse people into large groups then trying to describe/explain their characteristics or behavior in detail...
