If it was simply a matter of doing a few focus groups, applying the magical 'persuasion techniques', and putting out some well made Ads, then all we would have to do is do the same. Any group could sway the "masses" to almost any cause. It shows a lack of understanding of reality, a contempt for a large part of humanity, and a desire to put oneself in a different category because, of course, the person claiming this is never themselves swayed by marketing or advertising. |
