I've put spoken English through Google speech-recognition software, and gotten almost perfect transliterations.

Maybe it's because it's French?

But, yes, in this case -- 50% shite, and the other 50%?

Mostly unintelligible.

But you (usually) can get the gist of what's going on...

That's the best it can do.

I'd rip the audio, and put it through another speech engine for recognition, but it would have to be split into a number of smaller files. And that's just too much work.

Did you check for subs? I didn't...
