Hating people for what they are vs what they think

Pedo is about who you are, while "fascist," "transphobe," "white supremacist," is about what you think and what you hate.

These slurs may be wrongly applied of course, but they are used in defense against hateful thoughts and behaviors. The same can't be said about "pedo", unless it is wrongly used as a synonym of child abuser.
