Yes, the fella is openly attracted to kids. It's very nice to have a mangaka who is both successful and out as a pedophile. Only in Japan...

As for Made in Abyss, although I like the plot and the world building, I don't think I like characters that much. I like Reg, I enjoy his diligence and I have some theories about what made him lose his memory, but he does not strike me as a great character. I think the character I like the most is Nanachi. I wish Nanachi was a boy, tho.;w; Her gender is left ambiguous.
