Here's a quote from the governor:

“I think everybody knows where I stand: parents matter. Parents should be at the forefront of all of these discussions. And I firmly believe that teachers and schools have an obligation to make sure that parents are well informed about what’s happening in their kids’ lives.

Oh, the horror of parents being involved in the lives of their kids, maybe even opposing the bullying or indoctrination the schools hope to keep secret!

Considering our demonization depends on such bullying, indoctrination and secrecy, we should support transparency.
