Outing kids to their parents

There has been a big push in several states for schools to out gay kids to their parents.

What do you guys think about this?

I know for a fact is that would have happened to me as a kid, I would be dead right now. Therefore I feel,

1. Any teacher that outs a kid to their parents without their permission should receive a years prison.

2. Any teacher that outs a kid to their parents resulting in abuse (including homelessness) should get 10 years in prison.

3. Any teacher that outs a kid to their parents resulting in their death should be publicly flogged on Django's front lawn before spending life in prison.
