I don't agree. The lies are manifest to anyone who seriously questions their veracity, even as they say nothing and retreat into silent corners. It is not lack of exposure, but incapacity to step out of the modern myth and see what one is trivially exposed to. The extent of the lie is a measure of the importance, and the power, of that myth. "Exposing the lie" cannot de-mythologize. The modern myth in question is not just some "prejudice" against BL or pedophilia that happens to serve the police-psychiatric-media cycle. It is that, of course – but the "modern myth" is really a myth of modernity itself, with all its gnostic techno-dreams and irrational and castrated concepts of "equality" and "gender" etc. etc. That, I contend, is what needs to be exposed. All of this psychological/psychiatric work is too embedded in it to expose it. |
