DaVinci19, your experience is why I might not agree with the above quote. I can see that being attracted to women or being in a relationship with a woman and either having to hide who one is or living with the tension following a disclosure might be uniquely detrimental to one's mental health. This, as we say, is an empirical question that we ought to explore.
