Not sure where you live and if you have deer in the area but in many parts of the U.S., the deer herd is so large it must be controlled by the hunting population. If not, their populations gets to be so large they become diseased and some of those diseases can be passed on to horses, cattle and other animals.

The deer are a real nuisance in my area. I have about 50 in the local herd that is around the property at all times of the day.

And further, fathers teaching hunting skills to their sons are not promoting murder. They are teaching their kids life skills, survival skills, and to respect wildlife and harvesting what they can to put meat on the table. I know families that are poor and if they didn't have venison to put on the table they would go hungry.

So pack up your holier-than-thou green attitude and take a hike, karen.

I've decided to thaw out some backstrap for dinner.
