of a book (fiction) about one character and his life going through 'Armageddon' and all of the new tribulations and even freedoms encountered by our hero.

imagine him/you walking into the police station (still functioning, albeit crippled and in a state of confusion) and the man/woman behind the desk, after your telling him/her what you were there for, asking you again what you were there for suddenly exploding and yelling at you to remove yourself from his presence. that he had better things to attend to.

that is what happens in my head.

I remember a time when i still lived in Indianapolis and still having to register that they put me and two other doods into a holding cell until the person who was supposed to process us was ready. one was my friend and room mate and the other was some random young black dood.
after i sized up the situation for a moment, i decided to have a little fun. I got up from the bench and started pacing. of course, the youngest in the room, the black guy, took his cue from my actions and got up and started pacing. as soon as he did one lap of the holding cell, I abruptly sat down. but not in the place that i had vacated. I took his spot. the confusion that was on his face was something that brightened my day for a few days.
of course, my room mate had to ask me what that was all about, but he was smart enough to wait until we were out of the building and heading towards his car. he thought it was funny, too.

so, my point is, every moment in your life is up to you.

myself, i intend to have fun with the precious few that i have left.
