I might be wrong but I would say follow your gut about participating in this study if you want to. I mean I know that we have to be cautious, but it's supposed to be an anonymous study without real names and using an anonymous, throw away email address.

I remember when I started posting here 10 years ago "someone" would keep telling me not to go to LL because there one would divulge more info than on BC. This kept me away from LL for 7 years. But Since a couple of years I started visiting more often and I really don't think that I have provided more info that I should. I hope that my participation there haven't compromised my security.
