Buddhism seems to have a much better idea about the universe and the place humans have in it. And it does not clash with science. We are like small cogs in a big clockwork that constantly gets redone. We move mankind a bit further.

I only know very little about Zen, Buddhism, and other eastern religions. If they don't have a god or gods, then they might be more like a philosophy of life.

The biggest problem i have with religion, is when it claims authority or when they scam people into believing something false. We know enough to ignore all religious advice on food.
