Interesting. I get along fine with my dad, and he knows, but the subject never comes up. If he were to have made a comment like that it would have been in a sort of weird way in which the comment made perfect sense without any "oblique" reference to boy love. As if to say, "but you like kids, as most ordinary decent people do..."
