Feel free to point out where I did though. Also, you think you have scored a point by this, you havent. No one is claiming that you can absolutely WITH CERTAINTY categorise every single woman/drag queen. As I have already pointed out, this does not mean that you are right, or the science/biology/reality is wrong. I dont know where you think it gets you, it certainly doesnt follow from that that its all performance, all socially constructed. Men and women exist. They just exist as social categories, not exclusive (binary) empirical biological certainties (as Sick Rose claims they do.) You've already agreed with my view on the matter with your admission that the roles are "blurry". I havent agreed with your view. I said blurry "at the edges". This means that most people will be perfectly able to be placed in one category or the other. The fact that a very small number of people will be harder to place into categories, does not mean that its all blurry. |
