The issue for me

Perhaps I should apologise to you and Rex for my tetchiness on this subject.

It's not that I disagree with the spirit of your original post: I think it's great if kids can celebrate their sexuality and feel liberated from bullshit, outmoded moralistic hangups. However...

As an educator in this field (I have been a school counsel[l]or and part of my current job is the PSHE curriculum) I know that outward appearances can be deceptive. In my experience, most kids, particularly boys, are every bit as confused and fucked-up about their sexuality as we were and, often, still are; they just have different ways of dealing with it, and singing songs about jizzing is just a small part of that.

Hell, as a monumentally confused gay teen I used to make hilarious jokes about pillow-chewing arse bandits and fudge packing pedos in the same way. But I can think of few things less free-spirited.

So I just feel that as grownups we should be careful about how we respond to it. And I am also concerned about the gender issue here. We can find freespirited boys uplifting and heartwarming but society has an altogether different vocabulary for "freespirited" girls.

I think there's a reason the "LBGTQ..........." is now a candidate for the longest abbreviation in the dictionary. Kids are under such pressure to self-identify these days. It's a hard life for the poor little fuckers, y'know? We had it so much easier in the straight-boy-good queer-boy-bad days. [End of rant]
