It is different

The monster, the pedophile, the alleged animal is an abstract picture published in trash papers. Reality is different. People behave differently to a person they know, than to a stranger who belongs to an abstract group.

An old friend suspected that i am a pedophile and asked me about that. He didn't had a problem with my answer, because he saw that i didn't had a problem with it myself (at that time).

The thing is, we are nothing like the monster from those trash papers. Somehow, we humans deal with exceptions to rules very easily. If i told my former yf (now a grown up) that i had a romantic crush on him, he would probably shrug it off and say "But you are nothing like ..."

Anyway, how you feel will be no secret to him, especially when you two are close.
