Oliver Twist

Posted by Butch on 2018-May-20 18:13:24, Sunday

Focus on the Family Radio Theater is doing the 14 part presentation of Oliver Twist. Don't worry, there isn't any preachy stuff it's just a radio drama based on the book. I've called a couple of parts of it over the last couple of weekends and it is very good. I don't know if there's anyone here old enough to remember when there were no TVs and people just had to listen to the radio in the evenings for entertainment. I am reminded of the book a painted house by John Grisham when Luke and his family would listen to the announcer call the Cubs games on the radio. Anyway, it is very well done. If you go to the website Focus on the Family Radio Theatre you can listen starting about part 6. This is when all of her as cent off to return some books to a library or something of that sort. Anyway the choice is yours. You can reject it because it's a Christian radio program and miss out or you can check it out and enjoy 28 minutes segments of very good radio acting.
