having lived long enough, I do believe that the seeds for this war was planted long before Al Gore.

I think that a lot of Democrats were really upset about how relentless the GOP and the media were about then President Clinton.

but at THAT time, there were a lot of GOPers who wanted revenge over the removal of President Nixon.

No, Al Gore didn't start the fire, it was always burning, since the world's been turning. someone else said that, so many years ago, but it bears repeating.
