I wonder if your non attraction to the boy in the movie had to do with what I experience when meeting really obvious Gay Boys. I don't like em in fact I run from them and always have.

Seems the parents/guardians and other adults around such a boy are more protective of such a boy that hopes of even having even a remotely short term friendship with such a boy is out of the question.

I'd rather have a very straight acting boy for a Y.F. whose not yet or somewhat interested in girls rather than a floater fem fairy one speaking as a predator

AS for my childhood I can say even though I came out to everyone as being gay at age 13 I didn't act gay most of the time. (except for an obsession I had of playing with my G.I. Joe dolls and removing their pants)

I did however ask another boy to go with me at the school homecoming dance freshman year of high school the only school dance i ever attended. Also tried out for the Cheer leading squad that same year as well and I was the first boy to do so in that school and I even made the team. The homophobes of the day made sure I didn't do much else.

I have breakfast with Scot on my DVD shelves it's in a section with other movies about the Gay lifestyle since the movie had more to do with the one male adult having to keep his gayness hidden in the closet than an obvious gay boy who wouldn't.
