..is the thought-crime in your mind. Only then will the authorities be happy.

2+2=17+ OK?

I'm no lawyer or law-enforcer but they will always find a way to prosecute given enough insanity and time to stew over the nature of the images in question. And of course, at some point the illegal images would have been in someone's possession and distributed, even if obscured later on.
