There is surely a little real hope here of prising open some closed minds in high circles. He will be taking on state visits to anglophone countries a wife who would certainly be in prison if their relationship had begun in those countries. Moreover, the enduring success of their marriage is a slap in the face to the assumptions of the bigoted masses. May they give lots of interviews about it. Vive la France!
