Hi,

I found out about the death of John Fout thorugh this text/website:

"From President Leon Botstein:

I regret to inform the community of the unexpected death of John Fout, professor emeritus of history, on Thursday evening, June 20, at the age of 75. An historian, scholar, writer, editor, and teacher, John taught at Bard from 1969 until his retirement in 2000.

John was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on November 11, 1937. He received the BA and MA from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and the PhD from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul. He founded the Journal of the History of Sexuality, then published by the University of Chicago Press, and served as its editor.

He is survived by his companion Claude M. Cherry, in Hudson, New York, and three children, Justine Alyss Fout '96, Elizabeth Louise Fout '94, and John Eric Fout and his spouse, Angela, as well as his grandchildren, Krystov Alexander Fout and Savana Jane Fout."

The following website offers a 30-minute-speach of John Fout. Have not heard it but since the website is about "Persecution of Homosexuals under the Nazi Regime" it could contain some information:

https://www.ushmm.org/research/scholarly-presentations/symposia/persecution-of-homosexuals-under-the-nazi-regime

Tom O´Carroll who can be contacted through his blog could maybe know how to contact Bill Andriette. Maybe this would be the best way to find the relevant texts.

It seems there is very little research about the question which homosexuals where the victims of the Nazis.

Manfred Herzer wrote some very interesting articles in German language that touched this topic:

Herzer, Manfred (1992b): Hinweise auf das schwule Berlin in der Nazizeit. In: Verein der Freunde eines Schwulen Museums in Berlin e.V. (Hrsg.) (1992) S. 44-47.

Herzer, Manfred (1997): Vorbemerkung zu Rolf Krappes Bericht: Pädophile als Verfolgte des Naziregimes. Capri - Zeitschrift für schwule Geschichte, Nr. 24, Oktober 1997, S. 38.

Herzer, Manfred (1999): Dr. Otto Peltzer - Ein Pädophiler überlebt den Nazi-Terror. In: Capri - Zeitschrift für schwule Geschichte, Nr. 27, Dezember 1999, S. 32-47.
