Multiple nicks over the years is a different thing. What I mean is I don't see evidence of people using different nicks at the same time like some say it is the case here, except maybe for some rare exceptions. I have in fact seen one poster regularly use multiple nicks on another BL board, but it was quite obvious and mainly done for fun. Some also use anonymous posts at a time for obvious confidentiality reasons. I also, like many others I'm sure, use different nicks outside of BC, but this is just a common (and commonsense) security measure. I'm very skeptical about any other claim regarding multiple nicks. I just think the perception of the phenomenon is largely inflated, if not completely baseless. |
