I am so lucky to have got my boys after a drug addicted mom pretty much abandoned them. (long story and not for here)
Drugs destroyed her, her family, their home and almost killed the boys but it also enabled our family to exist.
My boys are now happy, healthy, loved unconditionally and are doing very well.

I don't think in your country it is advisable or even possible for a single man like yourself to just take in a couple/few/some of those 'orphans'?
Here you certainly could.
